o Prepare and present month-end financial statements to Company management
o Record inventory transactions as necessary
o Account Receivable collections and dispute resolution
o Reconcile monthly bank statements
o Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual sales, use, withholding and other applicable tax and informational returns (including W2’s, 1099, 941, 940, MESC)
o Transmit ACH files to appropriate financial entities
o Design and implement cost accounting systems, including labor and overhead allocation methodology
o Oversee periodic physical inventory
o Develop and enforce financial policies and collection procedures and internal accounting controls
o Assist/supervise best practice transactional processOnce efficient in this role, candidate will train and serve as back-up to Controller and various positions at steel fabrication sister company (local)*
o Supervise, lead, and manage Accounting staff
o Provide appropriate instruction and/or training resources to Department personnel
o Supervise payroll, accounts payable, A/R billing, and cash application
o Support Company management with operational performance analysis
o Perform and/or assist in ROI analysis for capital expenditures
o Support Armada corporate staff and sister locations.
o Coordinate annual review of Company financial statements by CPA firm
o Perform special projects as assigned by company management
o Degree relevant to finance and/or accounting from a four-year college or university. Equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
o Demonstrated knowledge of, and ability to manage staff
o Experienced in the development of cost and financial accounting systems
o Knowledge of or experience in the manufacturing industry
o Experience with Global Shop (preferred)
o Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
o Experienced in financial analysis and forecasting, and operating performance analysis
o Experienced in preparing an annual budget
o Experienced in the development of internal financial and accounting policies and controls
o Able to carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
o Conducts business operations in an ethical, people oriented, results driven manner consistent with the long term goals of the business
