SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: This class is responsible for developing contract standards and criteria as it relates to any agreement for services or other consideration involving at least two parties/entities, for providing a central repository for all PWC contracts and for ensuring contract compliance to include General Service Contracts, Operations and Maintenance Agreements, Commercial Lease Agreements, Inter-local Government Agreements, Vendor Contracts, Construction Contracts, Property Management, Software Licenses Agreements and others. The position monitors the general contract life-cycle to ensure that contract reporting obligations are met, and that all contracts have the applicable language for the type of service being provided; implements changes to Corporate Contract Management System to ensure obligations are completed, reduce non-compliance and recommends corrective actions to best protect PWC. This position is responsible administering a company product warranty program for tracking all contract warranty provisions including terms and return policies. Operates under general supervision, in accordance with established policies and procedures. Leeway is allowed for independent judgment in carrying out details of the work.

FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Thorough knowledge of safety rules/regulations/procedures, as appropriate; thorough knowledge of contracting rules, regulations, provisions and general industry standards; knowledge of the contract life cycle and general PWC terms and conditions; full knowledge PWC contract compliance initiatives and goals; full knowledge of warranty terms and conditions; understanding of the warranty claim process; good knowledge of negotiating techniques for warranty settlements; general knowledge of leasing terms and other special contract provisions; good knowledge of contracting standards and templates; knowledge of industry standards for contracting; understanding of PWC standards and their application to various types of services performed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: (A) Graduation from an accredited four (4) year college or university with a degree in Business Administration and a minimum of two (2) years of experience in Contract Management or Warranty Recovery. Utility contracting experience preferred

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess/ maintain a valid North Carolina Driver’s license
