CNC Operations Manager

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented CNC Operations Manager to oversee manufacturing processes and scheduling within our state-of-the-art facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of CNC machinery, and a solid background in manufacturing and fabrication. This role involves managing daily operations of CNC equipment, ensuring quality standards, and optimizing production efficiency. The CNC Operations Manager will play a critical role in maintaining safety, implementing process improvements, and leading a team of skilled technicians and operators. Candidates with expertise in Fanuc controls, CNC programming, CAD/CAM software, and mechanical troubleshooting are highly preferred.

Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate the activities of CNC machinists and operators across various equipment including CNC mills and lathes.

- Ensure adherence to schedule, and maintain communication with customers on delivery timelines.

- Manage tooling selection, maintenance schedules, and repair procedures to minimize downtime.

- Collaborate with programming and planning teams on manufacturing plans and schedules.

- Train staff on machine operation, safety procedures, quality standards, and new technologies or processes.

- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve product quality, with a focus on software and automation.

- Proven experience managing CNC machining operations within a manufacturing or factory environment.

- Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages such as G-code; experience with Fanuc controls is highly desirable.

- Ability to read blueprints accurately using GD&T standards; experience with calipers and micrometers for precision measurement.

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train staff effectively while maintaining high safety standards.

- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with basic math skills necessary for quality control and process adjustments.

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
