Ceramic Department Operators handle the preparation and application of ceramic shells used in the investment casting process.
This position is 3rd shift starting at 11pm however training will take place in our 1st shift until the candidate is ready to work on their own.
- Prepare ceramic slurries and manage dipping operations for wax patterns.
- Monitor drying cycles to ensure proper shell strength.
- Inspect ceramic shells for defects.
- Maintain equipment and adhere to safety guidelines.
- Inspect incoming raw materials.
- Record inspection results and report non-conformities.
- Attention to detail and familiarity with ceramic materials.
- Ability to follow safety and quality protocols.
- Physical dexterity for handling heavy molds.
- Completion of work center and safety training as required
- Knowledge of inspection techniques and tools.
- Industrial/manufacturing environment
- Exposure to noise, heat, and welding fumes
- Use of protective equipment including gloves, helmet, and safety glasses
