Bystronic Laser Operator

Laser Machine Operator – 1st Shift Location: Waukegan/Gurnee Area

- Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Bilingual (Spanish) preferred

Ludlow is looking for an experienced Laser Machine Operator to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the setup and operation of laser cutting machines to produce high-quality products that meet customer specifications.

What You’ll Do:

- Set up machines, including program retrieval, selecting gases, nozzles, and materials.

- Operate laser cutting machines to meet print requirements.

- Perform proper startup and shutdown procedures.

- Diagnose and correct machine issues as they arise.

- Use lift trucks to load/unload materials.

- Monitor part quality and make adjustments as needed.

- Perform routine operator maintenance.

- Record production quantities into ERP system.

What We’re Looking For:

- 3–5 years of laser machine operation experience.

- 3–5 years in a manufacturing environment.

- Experience operating lift trucks.

- Strong computer skills and ability to follow detailed instructions.

- Ability to read calipers, hand tools, and interpret technical documents.

- Must be able to read and write in English.

- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
