The Environmental, Safety and Health (ES&H) Functional Support Analyst I (Analyst) will support Targa’s Environmental, Health & Safety and Sustainability (business) portfolio. The Analyst will be responsible for supporting the business in achieving Targa’s goals with respect to environmental compliance by driving continual improvement in sustainable work processes. The Analyst will collaborate with the technology department and participate in the process of planning for, implementing, and supporting business systems to drive business-focused digitalization. A proven ability to solve problems, learn new material, adapt to change, and be an effective communicator are key traits to success in this position.
- Assist in implementation, sustainment, and management of all ES&H Management System tools like, Intelex, DoneSafe, Maximo, GIS, SharePoint etc.
- Ensures that assigned systems work correctly on a day-to-day basis and provides troubleshooting, including after-hours support, for systems as needed.
- Assist in the development of sustainable work processes, procedures, functional design documents, and training documents applicable to ES&H Systems.
- Develop end-to-end understanding of functional aspects of applications and associated business processes.
- Develop and provide training to ensure that all users can navigate the system and complete required duties.
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for any changes to Targa’s Systems.
- Update and manage system documentation and procedures.
- Adhere to and be a champion of Targa’s Technology Governance programs like, change management, communication, and release management.
- Identify and define potential improvement to business processes using technology
- Prevent the replication of problems across multiple systems by sharing lessons learned and best practices with other team members, technology team, and business users.
- Collaborate with Technology Support Teams and Project Management Teams to meet business requirements.
- Monitor incoming service requests and incidents from the business, investigate and diagnose based on priority/rank, and identify the resolution and/or issue working in collaboration with all stakeholders.
- Other duties as assigned.
- B.S. in Engineering, or Management of Information Systems, or related science such as chemistry, physics, or other environmental science.
- 1 year of experience with software systems in a consulting/industrial environment with one or more ES&H, Engineering, Operational software like Intelex, Enablon, Sphera, Cority, DoneSafe, Maximo, GIS, etc.
- Effective time management and communication skills.
- Ability to organize and work self-sufficiently given direction and resources.
- Advanced level desktop computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio and SharePoint.
- Legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than your current employer.
- Fluent English verbal and written skills.
- Physical ability to accompany plant employees on plant tours.
- Ability to travel away overnight periodically, as needed, for training or company events.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Related work experience in SQL database and PowerBI, or equivalent.
- Experience with the ServiceNow platform and the management of IT Requests and Incidents
- Demonstration of effective project management skills and ability to independently resolve issues and efficiently self-direct work activities.
- Related work experience in oil and gas or consulting environment through previous work.
- Experience in providing technical solutions to non-technical individuals.
- Familiarity with ES&H processes like air permitting, environmental compliance, health, and safety.
