Position Specific Description

The Business Manager, Wind Operations will be responsible for supporting the optimization of the wind portfolio’s total cost. This team works closely with the Power Generation Division, Business Management, Project Financing, and other departments to help ensure that we are making the best total cost decisions for each wind asset and for our wind fleet as a whole. This role will focus on strategic, large and complex problems that can help optimize the total cost of operations for our wind fleet. Additional responsibilities will include calculating and communicating monthly the opportunities and risks for the assets in accordance with our contractual obligations, making investment decisions for projects that will improve the operations of our wind assets, as well as supporting complex decision making for other challenges and opportunities that our fleet is faced with. If you have strong financial analytical skills, are a problem solver, and can coordinate with several different stakeholders to reach the optimal decisions for our wind fleet, we would love to talk to you!

Job Overview

Employees in this position support the overall P and L management of one or more NextEra generating assets or upstream/midstream assets that have achieved commercial operation. This role supports strategic decision-making with respect to such assets, including hedging, operations and maintenance. This role identifies opportunities and analyzes the impact on company financials to maximize P and L profitability.
