Overview:
Storagenergy is seeking a proactive and experienced Business Development Manager to drive the expansion and commercialization of our cutting-edge battery technologies. This role is pivotal in guiding technologies from R&D through pilot production to full-scale manufacturing. The ideal candidate will manage the entire project lifecycle, from initial planning to market launch, ensuring successful execution of projects and effective go-to-market strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
•Commercialization Leadership: Oversee the commercialization program from inception to full-scale production, managing end-to-end project scope including planning, timelines, budgets, risk management, and go-to-market strategies.
•Market Analysis: Identify key industry and competitive trends, staying updated on market dynamics to inform strategic decisions.
•Project Management: Develop and oversee implementation plans, including risk mitigation strategies, to ensure successful project delivery.
•Collaboration: Work closely with senior management, scientists, and engineers to understand and leverage our technologies, ensuring alignment with partner needs.
•Networking & Partnerships: Build and maintain a network of industry contacts to explore partnership and collaboration opportunities. Identify and secure new partners, customers, and revenue streams.
•Opportunity Management: Manage a pipeline of business opportunities, including identifying, prospecting, outreach, assessment, alignment, negotiation, and closing.
•Strategic Insights: Organize business opportunity review meetings, providing performance data and insights to enhance partner strategies and operations.
•Grant Assistance: Provide support in preparing grant application documents, focusing on the business section.
Qualifications:
•Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or a related field.
•Experience: 10+ years in sales and business development, with at least 2 years focused on the lithium-ion battery value chain, including battery materials, components, and relevant sectors.
•Commercialization Expertise: Proven track record in leading end-to-end physical product commercialization projects from development to market.
•ROI Analysis: Experience with return on investment (ROI) analysis.
•Bidding Process: Familiarity with the bidding process, including preparing and reviewing RFPs and RFQs.
•Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication, public speaking, and presentation skills.
•Project Management: Superior organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
•Negotiation Skills: Demonstrated success in negotiating business contracts and agreements with partners and customers.
•Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup/scaleup environment.
