Apprentice Welder/Fabricator

We are currently seeking an Apprentice Welder/Fabricator to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for welding and fabricating metal enclosures and equipment packaging solutions for a variety of industrial applications.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to fabricate metal enclosures and equipment packaging solutions.

- Operate and maintain various welding equipment, plasma cutters, and grinders.

- Work with a range of metals, including stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel (primarily carbon steel).

- Measure, cut, and fit metal using saws, shears, and other fabrication tools.

- Use hand and power tools to shape, form, and finish metal components as required.

- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards, client specifications, and safety requirements.

Qualifications:

- Registered Metal Fabrication Apprentice or equivalent practical experience.

- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.

- Familiarity with metals such as stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel.

- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools for cutting, shaping, and forming metal.

- High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality workmanship.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

- Good communication and problem-solving skills.

- High school diploma or completion of metalworking or welding courses is an asset.

- Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn.

- Forklift experience is an asset (training and certification can be provided on site).

Job Types: Full-time, Apprenticeship

Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
