Welder/Fabricator

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to read schematics and blueprints effectively. This role involves working with various materials and machinery to assemble components, ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the production process. Experience is valued in this environment, tickets are an asset.

Responsibilities

- Interpret and work from schematics and blueprints to fabricate components accurately.

- Utilize welding techniques to join metal parts, ensuring structural integrity and quality.

- Operate press brake machines for bending and shaping materials as required.

- Assemble fabricated parts into final products, adhering to specifications and quality standards.

- Perform machining tasks as needed, including using calipers for precise measurements.

- Safely operate cranes and rigging equipment to move heavy materials throughout the work area.

- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following all safety protocols and guidelines.

- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve fabrication processes.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in welding and fabrication, with proficiency in various welding techniques.

- Strong ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints accurately.

- Familiarity with operating press brake machines and other fabrication equipment.

- Experience in machining processes is a plus.

- Experience in agricultural & oil field industries an asset

- Experience/general knowledge of mechanics an asset

- Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers for precise work.

- Knowledge of crane operation and rigging practices is advantageous.

- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment at all times.

- Experience with safe operation of forklift/telehandler required

- Ability to lift up to 50lbs without support required

- Ability to communicate effectively in English (both written & oral)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
