Welder/Fabricator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our team. As a Fabricator/Welder, you will be responsible for constructing, fabricating, and welding various components for various projects in a Job Shop setting. This role requires a strong foundation in metal fabrication and welding techniques, as well as an attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

- Operate heavy machinery such as cranes and forklifts to move materials around the shop.

- Use press brake machines to shape and bend metal sheets.

- Build and fabricate metal components according to blueprints and specifications.

- Perform welding tasks using various welding techniques and equipment.

- Utilize proper gauges and devices to inspect projects.

- Collaborate with other team members to ensure the timely completion of projects.

- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to quality control standards.

- Have the ability to work in a job shop setting and be capable of shifting attention to the job at hand as needed.

Experience:

- 1+ years of experience in metal fabrication, welding, or a related field desired.

- Proven skills in operating equipment such as cranes and forklifts.

- Experience with saws, press brake machines, iron workers and welding techniques.

- Familiarity with building and fabricating metal components.

- Physical stamina to perform physically demanding tasks.

- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

- Flux-Core, MIG, TIG, Fit-up and layout experience needed.

- Must be able to comprehend Customer drawings and instructions to produce jobs accurately.

- Must be able to verify that work in progress conforms to specifications.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
