ALASKA RIG MECHANIC

Location: Alaska

Rotation: 14x14 or 21x21 (days or nights, including weekends and holidays)

- 1–2 years experience as a Rig Mechanic.

- Ability to wear respiratory protective devices.

- Must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite.

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Knowledge and experience in maintaining and repairing various types of diesel engines and mechanical devices.

- Repetitively bend, stoop, kneel, twist, and crawl, often while in Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

- Ability to work outdoors in extreme Arctic conditions, including subzero temperatures, snow, and ice.

- Must be able to understand and follow both verbal and written instructions.

- Must pass all required pre-employment and site-specific drug and fitness-for-duty testing.

- Must possess a valid Driver’s License (no restrictions) – Real ID compliant, suitable for travel to Alaska and the North Slope.

- Ensures the regular preventative maintenance activities for the mechanical components of the rig are accomplished.

- Installs, repairs, and tests all mechanical equipment at the rig site.

- Conducts safety inspections of all major pieces of equipment, making repairs, adjustments, and calibrations as required.

- Ensures that an adequate amount of spare parts are on hand at all times.

- Submits requisitions as needed.

- Participates in rig down and rig up activities to ensure proper disconnect, transportation, and connection of mechanical equipment.

- Ability to perform essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodations.
