Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Complete Resources Company: Is looking for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic with high energy for learning and are dependable and reliable. Eager to learn, continue the trade of a Heavy Equipment Mechanic.

The Mechanic will assist Field technicians in the maintenance and repair of aggregate and heavy equipment by learning skills and practices required to properly service aggregate and heavy equipment. Preventative maintenance, diagnosis skills, and repair techniques large variety of equipment.

Responsibility

- Learn and master the proper function and usage of hand and power tools

- Assist and learn to perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment and trucks to include PM services.

- Operate Equipment

- Diagnose and repair various equipment systems to include electrical & hydraulic systems and diesel engines

- Perform basic welding techniques and repairs

- Navigate electronic work order and parts/service literature

- Maintain assigned work area and supplied tools

- Must wear necessary PPE and follow all safety requirements when working on or around equipment

- Other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Experience

- Class B (CDL) required. If not must be willing to obtain class A or B endorsement

- Service truck and large tools provided or supply own truck and be compensated for it

- Valid driver's license

- High school diploma or GED

- Must be 18 years of age or older

- Mechanical aptitude and desire to learn

- Hard worker with attention to detail

- Ability to organize and prioritize

- Ability to approach each work assignment in an energetic, enthusiastic manner and with a sense of urgency

- Familiarity with heavy equipment is preferred

- Experience in Electrical, Hydraulic, and Diesel Engine preferred

- Physical exertion required. Including, but not limited to, walking, standing, stooping, bending, and lifting up to 90 pounds +

- The noise level is moderate. Frequent exposure to the elements to include dust, fumes, uneven terrain, and adverse weather conditions
