Job Title: Accounts Receivable and Collections Specialist
Location: 2251 Silver Creek Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76108
Typical Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
Pay Range: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour DOE
We are looking for a self - motivated Accounts Receivable and Collection Specialist to join our team! In this role, you will play a pivotal role in our Finance Department, primarily focusing on collections, incoming payment processing, and customer credit application processing. Your expertise will extend to providing valuable assistance to your colleagues within the Finance team. If you thrive in a fast - paced environment and are passionate about financial processes, we invite you to be a key contributor to our success! This position will report to the Controller.
- Monitor accounts and incoming payments
- Perform verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivable data
- Respond to and resolve clients’ billing issues and questions
- Prepare bank deposits
- Make sure all payments are properly posted
- Identify outstanding account receivables
- Take actions in order to encourage timely payments
- Contact clients and discuss their overdue payments
- Update account status records
- Prepare and present reports on collection activities and progress
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Associate’s/bachelor’s degree in Finance is a plus
- Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable and Collection Specialist or similar role
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures in a timely manner
- Proficient data entry skills and a knack for numbers
- Excellent knowledge of billing procedures
- Knowledge of various collection techniques
- Working knowledge of MS Office and databases
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Team player
- Time management skills
- NetSuite experience a plus
- Knowledge of collection laws and regulations, experience with lien laws a plus
