Accounts Receivable Specialist

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our financial team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring that our accounts receivable processes run smoothly. This position requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in accounting software, and excellent customer service abilities.

Responsibilities

- Process and record incoming payments accurately and timely using accounting software such as QuickBooks or QuickBooks Online

- Manage accounts receivable functions including invoicing, payment tracking, and account reconciliation.

- Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues with clients regarding outstanding balances.

- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries related to billing and payment issues via phone or email, demonstrating effective phone etiquette.

- Collaborate with the accounts payable team to ensure seamless financial operations.

- Perform data entry tasks with high attention to detail to maintain up-to-date records of transactions.

- Utilize negotiation skills when necessary to facilitate timely payments from clients.

Qualifications

- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks is preferred.

- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and accounting practices related to accounts receivable.

- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform account analysis and reconciliation effectively.

- Solid math skills for accurate financial calculations and reporting.

- Previous experience in financial services or a similar role is advantageous but not mandatory.

- Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
