The Opportunity
Our Corporate Accounting team is evolving to meet the needs of our growing business to prepare financial information and assist in activities that support the communication of accurate and timely financial results and analysis to various stakeholders. This role reports to the Manager of Corporate Accounting, with working level supervision provided primarily by the Team Lead, Corporate Accounting.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with the International Finance team and other departments to complete month end accounting activities including journal entries, analysis and reconciliations
- Intercompany settlement process
- Legal entity statements for international companies
- Proactively analyze financial information and/or accounting processes to identify issues and
ensure appropriate and timely resolution of any issues
- Develop and maintain Excel models used to support accounting and reporting
- Respond to the requirements of external auditors with respect to accounting and reporting queries
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline
- CPA professional accounting designation or enrolled in the CPA certification program
- 4 or more years or progressive related experience
- Ability to perform effectively under tight deadlines with multiple priorities
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with corporate accounting is an asset
- Keen attention to detail and drive for continuous improvement
- Collaborative team player with a track record of building strong working relationships
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Knowledge of SAP and BPC Consolidation
