As an Intern in Transportation Analytics or Rail Transportation, you will support initiatives that optimize logistics and improve transportation performance across AltaGas’s midstream operations. This role is ideal for students who are passionate about data analysis, operational efficiency, and supply chain optimization.
- Support analysis of transportation and logistics data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Assist with creating reports and dashboards to monitor key performance indicators.
- Contribute to projects focused on optimizing transportation processes and efficiency.
- Participate in team discussions and provide support for ad hoc tasks as needed.
- Document and BOL (bill of lading) management for shipment tracking
- Provide database management and maintenance and assisting with documentation centralization and standardization
- Assist with railroad pattern updating and waybill gathering
- Work collaboratively with logistics and commercial teams to execute product movements via rail
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary degree program. Supply Chain, logistics, Operations Management, or Business preferred
- Familiarity with Excel and experience with Power BI considered an asset.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Hands-on experience in transportation analytics and rail logistics optimization.
- Exposure to midstream operations and supply chain strategies in the energy sector.
