Location: City of Industry, CA (Manufacturing Plant) Duration: 10-12 weeks (Summer 2025) Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week Eligibility: Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a four-year university, technical school, or community college with a degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Mechanical/Electrical Maintenance, or a related field.
CEMCO is excited to welcome interns to our 2025 Summer Internship Program, offering hands-on experience at our City of Industry facility. This program provides students and recent graduates with the opportunity to work alongside industry professionals, tackling real-world technical challenges in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Interns will gain valuable experience in machine maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, and process improvement, helping to support CEMCO’s operations.
Our internship program is designed to provide practical, hands-on experience while promoting professional growth. Interns will develop technical skills, collaborate with experienced engineers and technicians, and contribute to key projects that enhance facility efficiency and performance.
- Hands-on engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to equipment design, process improvement, and automation.

- Professional development through periodic progress meetings and a final project presentation.
- Assist with design and development of manufacturing equipment, including support for new accessory machines.
- Create and update part drawings, layouts, and documentation.
- Support the implementation of an accumulator system and other process improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Machine Shop and Maintenance teams on equipment setup and troubleshooting.
- Observe and analyze current processes to identify opportunities for efficiency and automation.
- Participate in special projects as assigned by the Engineering and Machine Shop teams.
- Prepare weekly progress updates, culminating in a final presentation.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Basic understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) preferred.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Eagerness to learn and take initiative in a hands-on environment.
Recruitment for the 2026 Summer Internship Program will begin in late April. Interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis.
