Are you looking for an engaging and dynamic internship this summer? AltaGas is looking for two students to join our Communications or Sustainability team!
As a Communications Intern or Sustainability Intern, you will support initiatives that shape AltaGas’s brand and advance our environmental, social, and governance (ESG) commitments. This role is ideal for students who are passionate about storytelling, stakeholder engagement, and sustainability in the energy sector.
- Draft and edit content for internal channels (intranet, newsletters) and external platforms (social media, press releases).
- Support campaign planning, measurement, and adherence to brand guidelines.
- Assist with event coordination and employee engagement initiatives.
- Assist with ad hoc projects and tasks to support the communications team
- Helping with sustainability reporting and data collection to support ESG goals
- Contributing to projects focused on environmental performance, energy efficiency, and corporate responsibility
- Assist with ad hoc projects and tasks to support the sustainability team
- Currently enrolled in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or Business.
- Strong writing and editing skills; attention to detail and brand tone.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Power BI or data visualization is an asset.
- Hands-on experience in corporate communications and sustainability reporting.
- Exposure to ESG frameworks and stakeholder engagement strategies.
- Mentorship from experienced professionals and networking opportunities.
