Job Summary

PSEG Long Island is looking for an Intern for the Real Estate – Facilities Department.

This job involves working as an intern in the Real Estate Department to assist with providing real estate services and support to our internal stakeholders and customers.

This position will be hybrid in the Hicksville Office.

Job Responsibilities

Assignments will include working alongside professionals in the following areas:

- Assist with researching, investigating, and resolving property issues relative to Company operations including adequacy of existing rights and property rights restriction lists (as well as research, examine and interpret public records and plans).

- Assist with preparing documentation of real estate transactions of all degrees of complexity Sale of land, Grant of Easements, Release of Easements, Licenses, Leases, Assent Agreements

- Assist with providing real estate support in the siting of facilities, future planning, analysis/valuation advice and property records/rights.

- Assist with developing and maintaining effective relationships with key real estate stakeholders in order to share best practice.

- Assist with managing the day to day relationship with customers, developers, engineers, public officials, real estate brokers, attorneys, and others to facilitate property transactions.

Job Specific Qualifications

Required education/skills: The successful candidate(s) must be actively pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited institution and graduating between December 2026 and May 2029. Students graduating in May/June 2026 are not eligible unless they are enrolling in a post-graduate degree program in the fall term of 2026. PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent. Candidates must have completed freshman level course work for consideration.

Because this position will require traveling to various PSEG locations, a valid driver's license and a safe driving record is required.

Preferred:

- 3.0 GPA

- Relevant real estate work experience and/or enrolled in real estate classes

- Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

All PSEG internship roles are paid at an hourly rate, however there are no medical benefits associated with these positions. Candidates are expected to work 40 hours per week over the duration of the summer internship. We are targeting currently enrolled/matriculating students that are able to commute to their designated work location as needed. Housing, transportation, and immigration support will not be provided in association with these positions.
