Welder/General Laborer

Job description

Matrix Drilling Products is seeking a dependable, honest, and enthusiastic individual to join our growing organization as a General Laborer / Machinist. This position supports the daily manufacturing work schedule, meeting all goals of safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

This individual must be willing to work first shift (M-F) Salary range based on experience. Additionally, Matrix offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Job Outline

· Report on time and per work schedule. Punctual and regular attendance is an essential job responsibility.

· Safely operate cranes, hoists, and powered industrial equipment

· Load and unload incoming or departing trucks

· Locate and move material from inventory stock to production area to complete order requirements

· Return any unused material back to inventory stock with proper labeling and its original inventory location

· Make shipping boxes and crates to best safeguard our customers’ products

· Minor maintenance grounds repairs

· Report to work on time and per work schedule. Punctual and regular attendance is an essential job responsibility.

· Work with team leader and team members to achieve necessary work requirements.

· Operate complex machining equipment including start-up and shut-down.

· Produce machined parts per job traveler and prints.

· Perform product changeovers including CNC program selections, cutting tool selections, and part checking methods and procedures.

· Perform necessary quality checks of parts including the effective use of calipers, micrometers and complex functional gauges.

· Accurately complete all necessary forms and reporting paperwork.

· Perform operator PM to maintain proper machinery operation.

· Maintain a clean work area including daily cleaning of floors and machinery within the assigned work area.

Job Requirements

· High School Graduate or GED

· One or more years of related experience in an industrial setting

Knowledge Requirements

· Ability to read and understand technical information along with equipment manual instructions

· Basic math and counting skills

· Strong organizational skills

· Ability to read a tape measure

· Basic carpenter skills

· Effective oral and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly express thoughts to others and exchange information

Other Requirements

· The selected candidate will be required to pass an MVR, Drug, background, and reference screening
