Welder/Fabricator

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fabricator/Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding, fabrication, and mechanical assembly, with the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, including ductwork, structural components, and custom fabrications, utilizing a variety of tools and techniques. Candidates should be committed to safety, quality, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

- Perform MIG and TIG welding on various metals following detailed blueprints and schematics

- Operate plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, and hand tools for fabrication tasks

- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints accurately

- Use calipers, measuring tapes, and other precision tools to ensure accurate dimensions

- Rigging materials and components safely for assembly or installation processes

- Utilize power tools and machining equipment to shape and assemble parts

- Conduct quality inspections to ensure welds meet industry standards and specifications

- Assist with the assembly of ductwork, structural frameworks, or other fabricated components

- Maintain a clean and safe work environment adhering to safety protocols

- Collaborate with team members on complex projects involving construction or manufacturing processes

Qualifications

- Proven experience in welding (MIG, TIG) and fabrication within manufacturing or construction environments

- Mechanical knowledge with familiarity in machining, assembly, and use of hand tools

- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately

- Experience with plasma cutting, press brake machines, crane operation, forklift operation preferred

- Knowledge of rigging techniques and crane safety procedures is a plus

- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations required for precise fabrication

- Familiarity with schematics, ductwork fabrication, and construction standards is advantageous

- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality standards

- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.71-$39.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42.5 – 50 per week
