Summary

As a Meter Reader with Mount Laurel Township Municipal Utilities Authority, you will be responsible for accurately reading and recording water meter data throughout Mount Laurel, NJ. This role is essential in maintaining efficient utility services and ensuring accurate billing for our customers.

Responsibilities

- Conduct regular readings of water meters to ensure accurate billing.

- Record meter data accurately and report any discrepancies or issues.

- Perform routine maintenance on meters and associated equipment as needed.

- Utilize utility locating techniques to identify meter locations safely.

- Collaborate with field service teams to address customer inquiries and concerns.

- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.

- Adhere to safety protocols while working in various environments.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in field service or utility operations is preferred.

- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot basic issues.

- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in utility work.

- Basic electrical knowledge is a plus but not required.

- Experience with bucket trucks or utility locating equipment is beneficial.

- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
