Job Description:

As a Waterjet Operator at Baird and Wilson Sheetmetal, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our waterjet cutting machines to cut various sheet metal materials with precision. Your role will play a vital part in ensuring the quality and accuracy of our products.

Key Responsibilities:

- Set up and operate waterjet cutting machines to cut sheet metal according to job specifications.

- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine the required cuts.

- Program and adjust machine settings for optimal cutting performance.

- Inspect materials for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.

- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the waterjet machine.

- Monitor machine operations to identify and resolve any issues that may affect quality or production.

- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Waterjet Operator in a sheet metal or metal fabrication environment.

- Proficiency in operating waterjet cutting machines and understanding CNC programming.

- Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills.

- Knowledge of different sheet metal materials and their characteristics.

- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

- Basic understanding of machine maintenance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
