Water and Sewer Laborer

Key Responsibilities

- Uncover pipes with the use of a shovel.

- Grade out gravel in the bottom of a ditch using hand tools.

- Service work orders, which requires digging, bending, lifting, and twisting.

- Perform flagging duties.

- Drive a dump truck.

Job Summary

- Trench Safety

- Climb Ladders

- Ability to climb in and out of a ditch, all depths

- Install Cleanouts

- Reset and Install New Manhole Castings requires digging, bending, lifting, pulling, and twisting 80+ pounds

- Hauling pipe and Materials to the ditch, job site - requires bending, lifting, and twisting

- Operate the Valve Machine / Hydro Excavator

- Operate the Sewerage Wash Truck

- Paint Sewer Pumping Station- requires bending, lifting, and twisting

- Paint Fire Hydrants- requires bending, lifting, and twisting

- Replace Water Meters -requires digging, bending, lifting, and twisting

- Create / Install sewer taps- requires digging, bending, lifting, and twisting

- Create / Install water taps- requires digging, bending, lifting, and twisting

- Use Walk-Behind-Saw for roads requires digging, bending, lifting, twisting, pulling, pushing

- Use a Pipe Saw for pipe, concrete and asphalt

- Use a Jack Hammer

- Use a Trench Box

- Use Pumps - requires twisting, bending, lifting

- Form & Pour Concrete sidewalk, driveways, and curbs

- Set up a Sewer Laser

- Clean Trucks

- Clean shop areas, bathroom, kitchen, sitting area—general housekeeping duties

Personal Requirements

- Valid CDL

- Ability to work well with others

- Available to work after hours when needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $23.00 per hour
