PIPELINE LABORER

We are looking to fill a Pipeline Laborer position in Byers, CO. As a laborer, you are vital to project success by ensuring safety, efficiency, and progress on the job site. You’ll have the opportunity to work outdoors, collaborating with a team to safely complete construction projects.

Duties also include digging trenches or ditches, backfill, compact and level earth. This role allows you to enjoy the fresh air, provides a chance to learn new skills, and builds valuable industry experience. This role can be physically demanding and requires work in various weather conditions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

- Load or assist with loading materials or equipment

- Utilize hand tools to dig near existing underground utilities

- Dig trenches up to 5 feet,

- backfill excavations,

- jackhammer asphalt/rock

- compact and level earth to grade specifications using shovels, tampers, and rakes

- Move pipe and related tools and materials

- Clean up rubble and debris

- Perform technical construction and repair on major utility pipelines

- Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials

- Prepare pre-trip equipment prior to mobilizing to job site

- Assist in securing the work site, equipment, and materials at the end of each shift

- Prepare documents, reports, or job aids related to work, equipment, and safety

- Perform miscellaneous duties assigned

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

- Valid driver's license

- Prior pipeline construction and/or pipeline laborer experience preferred

- Working knowledge of general hand tools and power tools preferred

- Keen attention to safety

- Self-starter with a strong work ethic

- Detail orientated

- Coachable, willing to follow instructions

- Tolerates a wide range of weather conditions, including hot and cold weather

- The physical activity required for this role includes:

- Standing or walking for long periods of time on uneven and variable terrain

- Repeatedly lifting heavy loads (up to 50 lbs.),

- Other repetitive movements, such as kneeling, crawling, climbing, and reaching

- Wear PPE as required

- Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
