WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT OPERATOR-Full TIME

Environmental Systems Service, Ltd. (ESS) is an environmental services firm located in Culpeper, Virginia. ESS has been a leader in water & wastewater treatment operations and maintenance for over 54 years. The company also maintains a state certified environmental laboratory, which supports our Environmental Services Division, as well as performing water, wastewater, and soil testing from outside clients.

ESS is seeking a Full Time, Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator in the Albemarle County area. . Schedule is Monday-Friday, 8-hours a day with occasional part-time weekend work required.

Science background with a mechanical aptitude is a definite plus. This position requires the ability to work independently in the operation of a variety of small package wastewater treatment plants in various locations. Duties include: dosage; sample collection for off-site testing; maintain records of all monitoring information including a daily logbook, maintenance records, and instrument calibrations records. In addition, the successful candidate will also be expected to perform routine maintenance and to verify the proper operation of equipment. Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays as needed. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Work in primarily outdoors, in all weather conditions, with some indoor laboratory work as well.

An excellent driving record is required. And a current copy of your DMV record will need to be provided if contacted for an interview.

Salary is based on several factors, including experience, and is evaluated on an individual basis after an application has been submitted.
