Boss, Inc. is seeking a strategic and hands-on Vice President of Operations to lead and oversee our core business functions including estimating, planning, and production. This role is critical to driving operational excellence, building and mentoring a high-performance team, and supporting sustainable company growth. As a member of the executive team, the VP of Operations will ensure that daily operations align with long-term business goals while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
•Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing operations team.
•Foster a culture of accountability, clear communication, and goal-oriented performance.
•Identify staffing needs and lead recruitment, onboarding, and team development efforts.
•Oversee all estimating, planning, and production activities to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
•Develop and implement efficient systems for job scheduling, material ordering, and resource allocation.
•Ensure high-quality execution through standardized workflows and performance tracking.
•Identify process gaps or inefficiencies and lead initiatives to improve productivity and profitability.
•Monitor KPIs and operational metrics to evaluate success and drive strategic decisions.
Qualifications:
•Proven experience in operations leadership, preferably in a small to mid-size business environment.
•Strong background in production management, estimating, scheduling, and material procurement.
•Demonstrated ability to build, manage, and mentor cross-functional teams.
•Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
•Effective communicator with the ability to delegate clearly and hold team members accountable.
Position requires person to pass a background check and drug screen.
