Position Summary
The Director of Operations is a seasoned professional with a proven track record of significantly contributing to business growth and profitability through strategic and tactical leadership. This position oversees the day-to-day operations of multiple sites, ensuring excellence in service delivery and operational efficiency. The Director of Operations reports directly to the executive team and is responsible for managing Site Managers and Supervisors.
Duties & Responsibilities
•Strategic Planning: Design and implement an operational strategy that aligns with the company's mission, vision, and values. Translate overall business strategy into tactical operational plans.
•Operational Oversight: Direct the planning, preparation, and performance analysis of all sites to ensure high-quality service delivery and operational efficiency.
•Leadership and Collaboration: Build and maintain strong working relationships with Corporate Leadership, Airport leadership, and site leaders. Partner closely with all functional leaders to implement and oversee programs across sites.
•Continuous Improvement: Provide guidance to Site Managers and Supervisors to connect metrics to business processes. Focus on continuous improvement strategies to achieve business objectives.
•External Trends Analysis: Monitor and consider the impact of external trends (e.g., market, industry, competitive, regulatory) when creating and implementing best operational practices.
•Cross-Level Influence: Lead and influence operations across multiple levels of the organization, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.
•Consistency and Synergy: Identify and implement objectives and systems to improve consistency and synergy across all site locations.
•Financial Management: Authorize financial approvals, including capital expenditures and expense reports. Ensure fiscal responsibility and optimize financial performance.
•Compliance and Policy Enforcement: Set the tone for compliance with policies and procedures at all sites. Ensure policies are understood and adhered to, reinforcing their importance.
•Operational Excellence: Drive continuous improvement in operational excellence through regular site audits and policy and procedure reviews.
•Safety and Compliance: Oversee CSM’s Safety and Compliance Program, including Workman’s Comp and OSHA Logs. Act as the primary point of contact for all airport-related General Liability Claims.
•Vendor Management: Partner with local and external vendors to manage out-of-scope work and ensure contract compliance.
•New Business Initiatives: Organize and oversee all company startups and contract closings. Conduct RFP walks within the southern regions to identify new business opportunities.
Qualifications
Required:
•Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field, or 7 years of relevant experience.
•Minimum of 10 years of operational leadership or management experience.
•Proven ability to influence, collaborate, and build strong relationships.
•Experience leading strategic change initiatives.
•Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
•Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
