This role is essential in driving business growth, enhancing brand visibility, and developing strategic partnerships. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Utility service and technology sales and demonstrate exceptional leadership skills to manage a diverse team while fostering a culture of excellence and industry leadership experience. Advanced knowledge in using programs such as BidNet, GovWin, Demandstar, CRM's and other contract aggregators and sales organizers are necessary. Please list any established relationships with industry turn key providers, manufacturers, and municipalities. Must have the ability to sift thru RFP opportunities to value their worth to the business and to determine if a bid should be made and have the ability to complete RFP documentation and work with management to complete bid requirements.
Performance Bonus's and Stock Options may be negotiated based on Industry Experience.
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to achieve company objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the sales and marketing team to ensure high performance and professional development.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for growth.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients to maximize revenue while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Oversee business development efforts, focusing on outside sales activities to expand the client base.
- Manage key accounts by building strong relationships with clients and providing exceptional customer service.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align marketing campaigns with sales goals.
- Monitor performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of sales strategies and make data-driven adjustments as needed.
- Proven experience in technology sales with a strong understanding of the utility industry landscape, bid and partnership structure.
- Exceptional leadership abilities with a track record of managing successful teams.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate market data and develop actionable insights.
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with clients.
- Demonstrated success in sales, business development, and account management.
- Ability to build rapport with customers through outstanding customer service practices.
- Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools to enhance productivity.
