Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the Supervisor, Talent Acquisition, you will be part of the Human Resources Department. You will play a key role in recruiting the best talent for our Canadian divisions by employing proactive sourcing strategies and resources, developing new, creative recruiting ideas as well as being part of a dynamic and supportive talent acquisition team. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Lead the recruitment process from start to finish, supporting departments in their hiring needs for hourly positions and ensuring the hiring process standards are followed for all candidates;
- Follow the recruitment screening process to identify the best potential candidates;
- Recruit, source and present qualified candidates to the hiring managers;
- Liaise with candidates and hiring managers during all stages of the recruitment process;
- Lead interviews by using the targeted selection method interviewing system;
- Ensure a smooth transition from the selection process to pre-employment verifications to the onboarding stage of new employees;
- Ensure proper follow-ups with stakeholders throughout the recruitment process;
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining professional networks, etc.;
- Represent the company and participate in career fairs as required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or Industrial Relations, or equivalent;
- 2 years of experience in a full-cycle recruitment role;
- Proficiency in using Applicant Tracking Systems, LinkedIn and various other candidate databases;
- Experience with targeted selection interview methods;
- Sound knowledge of market trends and best practices;
- Integrity and confidentiality.
- Schedule: 5/2 schedule (Monday to Friday); a combination of tele-working with presence at our offices. Ideally the person will be based in Northen Ontario and will need to travel regularly to all sites in Ontario.
