Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, the applicant will be responsible for supporting scopes of work activities associated with components, assemblies, and machines in the Centrifuge Project. Provides support to the Centrifuge Program to accomplish goals and objectives while exemplifying compliance to Centrus standards and practices.
- Develop system level requirements and specifications for complex equipment
- Develop system level documents to verify the performance of complex systems to established standards and regulations
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between cross functional teams including design, engineering, manufacturing, operations, testing, quality and procured
- Assist in the creation, review, and approval of engineering packages to be used for fabrication
- Establish procedures for assembly and repair of fabricated components
- Drive process improvement activities for internal activities and external suppliers
- Manage multiple priorities and ensure that deliverables are met within schedule and budget
- Exemplify and drive adherence to company policies, procedures, code of conduct, security, environmental, and safety programs
- Evaluate existing systems to identify problems and design solutions to improve functionality
- Develop maintenance programs for complex equipment in conjunction with operations and facility engineering groups to ensure the performance and reliability of the equipment
- Interface with external customers to develop system level fabrication, assembly. and test documentation
We'd Love to Hear from Candidates With:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Nuclear, or Aerospace Engineering
- 7-10 years of experience in a professional environment
- a Masters may be used to substitute for experience
- Active Q-level or TS security clearance
- Master’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Nuclear, or Aerospace Engineering
- CREO/SolidWorks experience
- Centrifuge design, test, and/or manufacturing experience is a highly desirable
- PMP certification a plus
Experience with QL-1 or QL-2 quality parts/systems

Subsequent Federal government reinvestigations may be required.
