About This Job

About MeterNet LLC

MeterNet is a growing company providing utility sub-metering installations, service and billing for multi-family communities such as HOAs, condos and apartments. We are a leader in the industry with relationships with prominent developers, community managers and service providers. Our experience billing tens of thousands of residents and servicing a variety of metering systems makes us a trusted partner for residential communities of all sizes.

We are experiencing consistent growth and are looking for talented, dynamic teammates to join us in delivering the highest quality service to our clients. We are backed by a seasoned group of investors who are committed to building our team and supporting our continued growth and expansion.

Mission: Our vision is to consistently cultivate an industry reputation for excellent client service, transparency, and honesty. We strive to develop a team with high expectations combined with mutual respect and positivity. Our company culture is one where we care for one another, enjoy working hard together, and challenge each other to do better. We put the client first while also respecting the needs of our team and company. As we continue to expand our reach, we regularly look for ways to improve and question the status quo. MeterNet is a place where we can all grow professionally in an environment that elevates and supports each team member.

MeterNet is looking for a detail-oriented and systems-savvy Supply Chain Manager to own all inventory and purchasing operations across our California warehouse locations and our growing Texas operation. This role is the operational backbone of our materials management — you’ll ensure our field teams always have what they need, when they need it, while keeping our inventory accurate, compliant, and moving efficiently across multiple states. You’ll lead a small team of warehouse assistants and play a key role in shaping how our storage and distribution infrastructure scales.

Primary Responsibilities:

Inventory Management

- - Maintain accurate stock levels across all locations.

- Conduct regular cycle counts and audits.

- Lead the implementation and ongoing management of our barcode scanning system.

- Be the go-to person for resolving discrepancies and ensuring NetSuite reflects real-time inventory.

Purchasing & Replenishment

- - Monitor stock levels and trigger purchase orders before shortages impact field operations.

- Build and maintain reorder points and par levels, manage vendor relationships.

- Ensure timely receipt and processing of incoming materials.

Warehouse Coordination & Site Development

- - Oversee the movement of inventory between our California warehouses and Texas storage facility.

- As the Texas operation scales toward a full warehouse, you’ll play a central role in setting up systems, processes, and physical organization to support that transition.

- This role includes periodic travel to conduct site audits and support warehouse setup and expansion.

Team Leadership

- - Directly manage warehouse assistants responsible for day-to-day inventory movement and physical operations.

- Set expectations, provide direction, and ensure your team is working accurately and efficiently within the systems you establish.

Cross-Departmental Communication

- - Serve as the primary point of contact for inventory availability questions from sales, operations, and project coordination teams.

- Proactively communicate supply constraints or delays that could affect scheduling and project timelines.

Weights & Measures Compliance

- - Act as the company’s key liaison with county Weights and Measures departments, managing compliance requirements, documentation, and any related audits or inquiries.

Required Skills/Abilities:

- Hands-on experience with NetSuite is required, including proficiency with inventory modules, purchase order workflows, and reporting functions.

- Experience implementing or managing a barcode/scanning system is a strong plus.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with scheduling or CRM software is a bonus.

- Proven experience in a supply chain management role, preferably within field services, utilities, construction, or a similarly operational industry.

- Demonstrated ability to manage inventory and logistics across multiple locations.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to keep cross-functional teams and departments informed and aligned.

- Prior supervisory or team leadership experience is a plus.

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adaptable to changing priorities.

- Willingness and ability to travel regularly to our Texas facility and other locations as operational needs arise is required.

Education/Certifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred.

- An equivalent combination of formal education and relevant hands-on experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

- Professional certifications such as APICS CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) or CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) are a plus, though not required.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to lift, carry, and handle materials weighing up to 50 lbs. regularly, with occasional lifting beyond that weight with assistance.

- Ability to operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment; current forklift certification is preferred, or willingness to obtain certification upon hire is required.

- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout warehouse and field environments for extended periods.

- Comfortable working in varying conditions, including warehouse environments, outdoor job sites, and across multiple facility locations.

- Valid driver’s license required; ability to travel to facilities including our Texas location as needed.
