Job Summary

PSEG is looking for Summer 2026 Technical Intern for the Voice of the Customer (VoC) and Customer Analytics Team.

The Voice of the Customer Team is responsible for leveraging J.D. Power business and residential studies for feedback and customer perception improvements. The team oversees Transaction Satisfaction Surveys for utility scorecards, managing post-interaction customer experience. As a VOC Intern, you will assist with providing executive and team dashboards and reporting to help provide insight into customer experience. The Customer Analytics Team is responsible for working with large data sets to develop dashboards, managing utility data lakes, supporting strategic initiatives such as customer segmentation, and delivering analytics support to the Customer Solutions organization.

This position will be Hybrid from PSE&G’s Newark office with a minimum of three days a week in the office.


Job Responsibilities

Assignments will include working alongside professionals in the following areas:

- Continue improvements of reporting and process documentation for the VoC Playbook

- Build Power BI dashboards for TSS and JD Power

- Participate in Journey Mapping sessions

- Perform customer research to enhance the customer experience

- Building and maintaining PowerBI dashboards

- Use machine learning outputs in analysis

- General support of the customer analytics team with reporting and continuous improvement initiatives


Job Specific Qualifications

The successful incumbent(s) must be actively pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited institution in business administration, data analytics, accounting, marketing, communications, IT, or similar majors and graduating between December 2026 and May 2029. Students graduating in May/June 2026 are not eligible unless they are enrolling in a post-graduate degree program in the fall term of 2026. PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent. Incumbents must have completed sophomore-level course work for consideration.

- Because this position will require traveling to various PSEG and customer locations, a valid driver's license and a safe driving record is required.

- Department of Energy’s regulation 10 CFR 810 is required.

- Excellent analytical and technical skills

- Strong verbal and written skills

- Able to meet deadlines, juggle competing priorities

- Strong Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)

- Independent, energetic, team player and inquisitive spirit

- Coding proficiency with Python or SQL

- Familiar with developing Tableau and/or PowerBI dashboards

All PSEG internship roles are paid at an hourly rate, however there are no medical benefits associated with these positions. Incumbents are expected to work 40 hours per week over the duration of the summer internship. We are targeting currently enrolled/matriculating students that are able to commute to their designated work location as needed. Housing, transportation, and immigration support will not be provided in association with these positions.
