The IT Project Management student intern supports the Project Management Office (PMO) by assisting with project planning, coordination, documentation, reporting, and governance activities. This role provides hands-on experience in IT project management practices, tools, and methodologies while contributing to the successful delivery of projects across the organization.
- Assist Project Managers with day-to-day project activities, including scheduling, task tracking, and meeting coordination
- Support the development and maintenance of project artifacts (e.g., project charters, schedules, RAID logs, status reports)
- Help track project milestones, deliverables, and dependencies
- Prepare and update weekly and monthly project status reports
- Document meeting notes, action items, risks, and decisions
- Assist with lessons learned documentation and post-project reviews
- Support PMO intake and governance processes
- Assist in maintaining compliance with PMO standards, templates, and methodologies
- Help track change requests and approvals
- Enter and maintain project data in project management tools (e.g., ServiceNow SPM, Microsoft Project, Excel, SharePoint, Teams)
- Assist with basic data analysis, dashboards, and reporting
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders
- Support communication efforts by preparing presentations, summaries, and updatesCompletion of 1+ years college coursework towards a degree in an IT-related discipline
