Responsible for the design, development, alteration, or modification of shelter drawings and
Structural systems as assigned by the department manager.
- Prepares a wide variety of detailed drawings for the shelter and electrical design and is responsible for their accuracy.
- Breaks down information obtained from the bid letter, customer specification, customer supplied drawings and electrical designer drawings to do shelter design.
- Performs a variety of calculations following standard procedures.
- Prepare work orders (detailed BOM) while drawings are in progress.
- Contributes on projects of high complexity.
- Completes projects without supervision composing of multiple piece concrete shelters and lightweight metal shelters.
- Assists other designers as needed.
- Checks/Marks up team members drawings as required.
- Renders technical assistance to factory personnel, sales staff or customers as needed.
- Possible travel as needed.
- Performs other assigned duties as required by management.
4 to 7 years on the job Structural Engineering/Designing experience.
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Computer programs: Windows, Word, Excel, the latest release of AutoCAD, the latest release of Revit.
Knowledge of algebra and geometry and mathematical formulas.
Technical ability in the Structural, Architectural, and Mechanical fields.
