- Client Management: Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with new and existing customers, such as manufacturers, fabricators, and construction companies.
- Sales and Negotiation: Identify new business opportunities, generate leads, conduct sales presentations, negotiate prices and terms of sale, and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Product Expertise: Possess a deep understanding of different steel types (grades, gauges, shapes), their applications, and processing options to provide tailored solutions and technical guidance to customers.
- Order Fulfillment Coordination: Work closely with inside sales, estimating, production, and operations departments to prepare accurate quotes and ensure orders are processed correctly and delivered on time.
- Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to adapt sales strategies accordingly and provide sales forecasts to management.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales opportunities, and follow-ups using CRM software, and submit regular sales and expense reports.
