Job Description

SB Specialty Metals LLC, located in Vandalia, OH offers an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated, independent individual with a career background in Steel Service Center management.

We are currently seeking an individual who will “take charge” of the effective operation of the warehouse. Position reports to VP of Operations and has full responsibility for the warehouse environment which includes:

Position reports to Vice President of Operations and has full responsibility for the warehouse environment which includes:

· Management of warehouse employees including training, development, discipline and recruitment.

· Plan, coordinate and direct daily warehouse production.

· Verify compliance with federal, state and local warehousing, material handling and shipping requirements.

· Ensure the health, safety, cleanliness and security of the work location.

· Propose future capex and capacity requirements.

· Controls operational expenditures and reviews budget.

· Oversee maintenance programs to ensure servicing of production and material handling equipment.

· Manage and monitor the adherence of set KPI’s within the warehouse.

· Interfaces with outside vendors, contractors and customers in support of warehouse objectives

The individual must enjoy working in a dynamic fast paced environment, and must possess the following qualifications:

*Minimum Education – High School – Some College Preferred

*Established career background in industrial warehouse supervision in the steel industry with at least 5 years’ experience

Computer LiteracyEffective Communication, team building and people skills essential.
