In Short:

The Splitter Operator is responsible for setting up and operating a splitting machine to split stone slabs and strips into full veneer product according to work order specifications.

Role and Responsibilities

- Participate in mandatory stretching exercise

- Receive direction and work orders from supervisor

- Verify that tools and equipment are in proper working conditions

- Follow all safety regulations

- Maintain a clean and organized work area

- Perform routine daily maintenance of equipment

- Continually feed splitter by positioning stone on conveyor to obtain proper cuts

- Perform stone splitting process according to work order specifications

- Understand and maintain quality standards

- Understand conveyor safety and proper operation

- Produce finished product for packaging and chunks for NTV saws

- Complete necessary paperwork

- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Education Requirements

- Ability to operate a skid steer or front end loader a plus

- Ability to read a tape measure

- Ability to lift objects weighing between 50-100 pounds

Work Conditions

- This position is located at our quarry site.

- Will be working primarily indoors, outdoors at times
