The Sourcing / Procurement Specialist is responsible for managing the acquisition of goods and services required to support company operations. This role focuses on supplier sourcing, cost control, contract compliance, and ensuring timely delivery while maintaining quality standards and adherence to company procurement policies.
· Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers based on cost, quality, capacity, and reliability
· Request and analyze quotations, bids, and proposals from vendors
· Negotiate pricing, terms, lead times, and contracts to achieve cost savings and value
· Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and develop new sourcing channels
· Prepare and issue purchase orders in accordance with approved budgets and authorization limits
· Ensure all purchases comply with internal policies and approval workflows
· Track order status and coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery
· Resolve issues related to pricing discrepancies, delivery delays, shortages, or quality concerns
· Monitor spending against budgets and procurement thresholds
· Ensure compliance with company policies, audit requirements, and applicable regulations
· Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and documentation
· Collaborate with engineering, production, finance, and warehouse teams to understand requirements
· Support inventory planning and demand forecasting as needed
· Assist in vendor performance reviews and corrective actions
· Prepare procurement reports, including spend analysis and supplier performance metrics
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or related field preferred
2 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain (level may vary by role)
Knowledge of procurement best practices and sourcing strategies
Office-based with occasional interaction with suppliers or warehouse/production areas
May require handling multiple priorities under tight deadlines
Works cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Accounts Payable, Receiving, and other internal departments as required.
