Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Solar Installer to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will be responsible for installing solar energy systems on residential and commercial properties, ensuring each project is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. - Safely install solar panels, mounting systems, inverters, and electrical components on rooftops or ground mounts using appropriate hand tools and power tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute installation plans accurately.
- Connect high voltage and low voltage electrical systems following NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and local electrical codes.
- Conduct site assessments to determine optimal placement of solar equipment, including roofing considerations and structural integrity.
- Use construction site experience to coordinate with other trades such as roofing, plumbing, or general construction teams during project execution.
- Operate forklifts or other heavy machinery as needed for material handling and site setup.
- Install fixtures, electrical wiring, and conduit systems while adhering to safety protocols and quality standards.
- Proven experience as a commercial electrician or in electrical installation work involving high voltage and low voltage systems.
- Strong knowledge of NEC regulations, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and electrical theory.
- Hands-on experience with power tools, hand tools, roofing techniques, and construction site procedures.
- Ability to read technical drawings accurately and follow detailed installation instructions.
- Physical ability to work at heights on rooftops or scaffolding safely; comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license with forklift certification preferred; ability to operate heavy equipment safely.
