Solar Design Drafter

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Solar Design Drafter to join our dynamic renewable energy team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating detailed and accurate electrical and system design drawings for solar energy projects. Your expertise will help translate engineering concepts into precise CAD (Computer-Aided Design) models and schematics, ensuring seamless project development from conception to construction. Responsibilities

- Develop detailed solar system layouts, electrical schematics, and construction drawings using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and others.

- Collaborate with electrical engineers and project managers to interpret design specifications and translate them into clear, accurate drawings.

- Create wiring diagrams, schematics, and layout designs that adhere to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and project requirements.

- Assist in the design of electrical systems, including wiring, layout design, and integration of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation purposes.

- Review and revise drawings based on feedback, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and client specifications.

- Utilize Bluebeam for markup review and document management throughout the project lifecycle.

- Support construction teams by providing detailed drawings that facilitate installation of electrical wiring, system components, and structural elements.

Experience

- Proven experience in drafting electrical systems or solar system design using CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, or NavisWorks.

- Drone survey experienxce

- Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, schematics, system design, and electrical wiring practices.

- Familiarity with NEC standards related to solar power systems and electrical safety protocols.

- Experience working on construction projects involving layout design for electrical systems or renewable energy installations.

- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications accurately.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
