Site Manager – Utility Scale Solar Construction
Overview:
The Site Manager leads the operational and financial execution of utility-scale solar construction projects. As the primary liaison with the client, they ensure safety, quality, and efficiency across all project phases while supporting and developing the site team.
Key Responsibilities:
•Safety: Enforce all safety protocols and training programs to meet TRIR goals. Monitor and audit site safety performance.
•Supervision: Direct site teams, support hiring and development, and promote company culture and policies. Coordinate labor and equipment needs with cross-functional leaders.
•Quality: Oversee conformance to specs and the Project Quality Plan. Promote a culture of personal accountability and continuous improvement.
•Operations: Lead planning, scheduling, coordination, and cost analysis with the PM and field leadership. Manage meetings, schedules, subcontractor alignment, and project documents.
•Financials: Monitor labor, material costs, and production. Identify cost variances, support invoicing, and help ensure positive cash flow.
•Client/Subcontractor Relations: Maintain strong, professional relationships with owners and subcontractors. Communicate regularly regarding project progress, safety, and expectations.
•Participate in hiring efforts and job fairs.
•Conduct site walks and audits to ensure conformance and resolve issues.
•Review RFI logs and material approvals.
•Support Estimating and BD teams on pre-construction site visits.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
•7+ years of supervisory experience in construction (e.g., industrial, power generation, utilities).
•Strong communication, leadership, scheduling, and construction drawing skills.
•Working knowledge of equipment, safety, and industry standards.
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ability to learn company software tools.
•Must be willing to relocate to the project site for its duration.
•Valid driver's license and clean MVR.
Compensation & Benefits:
•Salary: $120,000–$150,000 DOE
