Job Description
The Project Manager/Estimator is responsible for compiling competitive bids while developing and maintaining good customer relations and service. This role works at the direction of the Operations Manager and coordinates with the foreman and administration support services, including supervising field management and field and estimating assistants for maintaining profitability of jobs.
•What You Will Do:Prepare, set up, maintain project schedules, controls, and budgets
•Prepare and negotiate change orders on projects
•Regular communication with client and field employees to ensure quality, safety, profitability, and contract deadlines met
•Effectively exchange information with stakeholders
•Conduct bi-weekly progress meetings, attend/coordinate regular project progress meetings with clients, owners, engineers, etc.
•Coordinate trucking/transport needs with Shop Manager
•Ensure construction best practices, performance indicators, metrics, company knowledge/advancement processes are accurate
•Manage margins and Job cost target
•Complete project closeout procedures on 100% of jobs for invoicing, billings
•Plan/prioritizes work to meet commitments aligned with Company goals
•Build partnerships, work collaboratively with others to meet objectives
•Hold self and others accountable
•Consistently achieve positive results, even under tough circumstances
•Handle conflict situations effectively
•Rebound from setbacks and adversity when facing difficult situations
•Complete understanding of contract commitments and requirements
•Attend educational opportunities, stay current with construction technology/methodology
•Regularly coordinate with Sr. Project Manager/Estimator and/or Operations Manager

What You Will Bring:

•Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred
•Work experience in Civil Construction, specifically underground pipelines or road building required
•A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in project management in the construction industry, with a focus on civil construction projects preferred
•Work experience managing both small and large-scale projects from initiation to closeout, including budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, risk management, and quality control
•In-depth knowledge of civil construction principles and practices
•Proficiency with project management software (specifically Excel, Project, Hard Dollar, or similar), scheduling software, and other relevant tools
•Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards
•Strong leadership skills, including ability to motivate and manage teams
•Excellent communication and negotiation skills, ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies
•Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions,
•Ability to think strategically and anticipate potential issues before they arise
•Understanding of business principles and financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
•Knowledge of safety protocols and compliance requirements for construction projects, including OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards
•Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapt to changing priorities, work well under pressure
•Maintain high level of professionalism and ethical standards in all aspects of the job, including maintaining confidentiality, avoiding conflicts of interest, and adhering to company policies and procedures

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
