Project Manager Position Summary: The Project Manager is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company policy, commitments, and goals.
Project Manager Duties and Responsibilities:
Review customer contracts/purchase orders for content such as scope, cost, terms, warranty, and schedule to ensure compliance with company policy.
Lead the planning and implementation of projects.
Manage project budgets.
Plan, schedule, and maintain project timelines.
Provide daily communication, direction, and support to all project participants including customers, all internal departments, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and construction crews.
Provide excellent customer service.
Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve successful project completion.
Obtain and provide project evaluations and assessment of results.
Keep project documents current and accurate according to company ISO 9001 policy.
Travel as required to provide hands-on customer service such as participation in preconstruction meetings, job inspections, grading of subcontractor work and any other related commitment as needed.
May perform other duties as assigned.
Project Manager Skills and Specifications:
Strong verbal and written communication skills; with the ability to effectively communicate complex commercial or technical information.
Demonstrated proficiency with G-Suite, MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
Aptitude to learn and use ETO/ERP, PDM, and CAD software.
Able to read and understand blueprints.
Solid problem-solving skills.
Able to manage multi-task work in a fast-paced environment.
Able to work proactively and independently on a broad variety of projects.
Able to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with people in course of work.
Willingness to work additional hours in order to meet job requirements.
Able to travel in the course of work approximately 10% of the time.
Project Manager Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering Technology or related technical field is preferred, or;
Associates degree with 2-3 years relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2 – 4 years project management experience is preferred.
Project Manager Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of Project Manager, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Project Manager Work Environment:
While performing the duties of Project Manager, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
