The SimpleUtility Sales Associate, operating on behalf of AT&T in store sales. This is a dedicated sales representative on-site expert responsible for driving sales of a comprehensive range of AT&T wireless and broadband services. This role focuses on engaging Target guests, understanding their connectivity needs, and effectively recommending and closing sales for new services, upgrades, and accessories. Success is measured by consistently meeting and exceeding assigned daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
- Customer Engagement & Sales:
- Proactively engage guests throughout the Target store to promote AT&T's latest wireless devices, rate plans, internet services, and TV packages.
- This role is $18.00 per hour plus commission.
- Conduct in-depth needs assessments to identify opportunities to save guests money, enhance their current services, or improve their connectivity.
- Deliver persuasive, professional sales presentations that highlight product value, exclusive promotions, and competitive advantages.
- Process new activations, plan upgrades, equipment financing, and accessory sales accurately using designated AT&T and/or SimpleUtility Point-of-Sale (POS) systems.
- Achieve or surpass all personal sales performance goals, including metrics for new lines, specific product features, and revenue targets.
- Customer Service & Relationship Building:
- Provide an outstanding customer experience from initial greeting through final sale, ensuring guest satisfaction is the top priority.
- Address and resolve customer inquiries, minor technical issues (e.g., basic device setup, account questions), and objections with professionalism.
- Act as the primary on-site face of AT&T (via SimpleUtility), maintaining a positive, knowledgeable, and ethical sales presence within the Target store.
- Operations & Compliance:
- Maintain a current, deep knowledge of all AT&T products, services, promotions, policies, and competitor offers.
- Complete all required sales contracts, applications, and documentation with meticulous attention to detail and according to compliance standards.
- Manage and maintain the AT&T display or kiosk area to ensure it is clean, organized, fully stocked with marketing materials, and visually appealing.
- Participate in mandatory product trainings, team meetings, and performance coaching sessions as required by SimpleUtility.
- Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a sales, retail, or highly communicative customer-facing role (e.g., customer service, hospitality).
- Proven ability to meet or exceed performance-based sales goals in a dynamic environment.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal communication, and active listening skills.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Preferred:
- Experience in wireless, telecommunications, or technology sales.
- Familiarity with POS and CRM systems.
