Shipping Administrator

Our team is made up of dedicated and hardworking individuals who together create a rewarding and welcoming work environment. We are currently hiring a Shipping Administrator to join our team.

As a member of the shipping department, the Shipping Administrator is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to the shipping department. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth, and efficient shipping operations. The successful candidate will work out of our office located in Milton, ON.

Start Date: ASAP

Duties and Responsibilities:

Administrative Support:

- Provide daily administrative assistance to the shipping department.

- Assist with general office tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence.

Shipping Documentation & Data Entry:

- Prepare and maintain shipping documents and related records.

- Input and update shipping and inventory data in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

- Maintain accurate shipping logs and inventory movement records.

Shipment Coordination:

- Track outgoing shipments, resolving any issues or delays as they arise.

- Collaborate with Production, Customer Service, and Purchasing to ensure on-time deliveries.

Reporting:

- Assist in compiling reports on shipping performance.

Communication:

- Answer and direct phone calls, respond to shipping-related inquiries, and relay messages promptly.

- Ensure effective communication between internal teams and customers.

Compliance:

- Support adherence to company policies, health and safety regulations, and shipping standards.

Other Duties as Assigned by Management:

- Perform additional administrative or operational tasks to support the shipping department.

You are our ideal candidate if you have:

- A high school diploma or equivalent (post-secondary education in administration/ logistics is an asset).

- 1–2 years of administrative experience, preferably in shipping, logistics, or warehousing.

- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or another ERP systems.

- Strong attention to details and organizational skills.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Working Conditions:

- Office-based role within a warehouse environment.
