Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sheet Metal Worker to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal components with precision and efficiency. - Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to accurately fabricate sheet metal parts.
- Operate a variety of fabrication machinery including CNC laser cutting machines, plasma cutters, press brakes, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, and electrical discharge machining equipment.
- Program CNC machines for precise cutting, shaping, and assembly of sheet metal components.
- Use hand tools and measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring instruments to ensure parts meet quality standards.
- Perform welding and mechanical assembly tasks to join fabricated parts according to specifications.
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process to verify dimensions, tolerances, and overall craftsmanship.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols involving cranes, forklifts, tooling, and other equipment.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards.
- Hands-on experience with CNC programming and operation for laser cutting, plasma cutting, milling machines, lathes, stamping presses, and other CNC equipment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes including tooling setup and adjustment.
- Skilled in welding techniques such as MIG, TIG or arc welding for assembly tasks.
- Ability to operate forklifts and cranes safely within a manufacturing setting.
- Familiarity with quality inspection tools like micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and process adjustments.
- Knowledge of manufacturing safety procedures related to machining equipment and material handling.
