The Service Technician supports Belt Tech customers by performing conveyor component installations, fabrication, and maintenance work at aggregate mines and power plants throughout Tennessee. This position operates primarily in the field, traveling daily in a company service truck, and requires the ability to work independently, safely, and efficiently in demanding industrial environments.
- Install, service, and replace conveyor components including, but not limited to:
- Bearings
- Drives and gearboxes
- Idlers and rollers
- Scrapers, impact systems, and other conveyor accessories
- Read and work from blueprints and drawings to fabricate custom chute work.
- Line chutes, hoppers, and existing structures with metal plate and wear materials.
- Perform general mechanical maintenance in aggregate mines and power plants.
- Diagnose issues, make field repairs, and communicate findings to supervisors and customers.
- Travel anywhere within the state of Tennessee on any given day to perform service work at customer sites in company truck.
- Work independently in the field while maintaining Belt Tech quality, safety, and productivity standards.
- Assist conveyor belt installation crews as needed (typically no more than once per month).
- Strong experience diagnosing and repairing aggregate processing equipment, including:
- Conveyors
- Crushers
- Screens
- Classifying tanks
- Screws and related material handling equipment
- Proven mechanical aptitude and hands-on industrial maintenance experience.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to travel daily throughout Tennessee.
- Comfortable working in mine and power plant environments.
- Strong focus on safety, quality workmanship, and customer service.
