About This Job

Service underwriter needed for a large lawn and landscape supply service center.

Ideal candidate should have customer service background, with a mechanical aptitude. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Candidate will be responsible for

•

Answer phones

•

Taking in service orders

•

Asking the right questions of customers and entering information into tickets to ensure proper explanation of repairs needed are captured

•

Look up any needed parts using company software, or by use of the internet when needed

•

Assemble estimates based on technicians recommendations

•

Present estimates to customers in a professional manner, and sell any needed work

•

Distribute parts to technicians

•

Finalize completed tickets

•

Contact manufacturers when technical advise is required

•

Check out customer at end of billing

•

Filing of necessary paperwork

Requirements:

•

Strong customer service skills

•

Self confidence

•

Working knowledge of MS Outlook, Office, and Excel

•

Ability to learn company point of sale software

•

Ability to utilize internet to locate user and parts manuals

•

Prior mechanical knowledge

•

Prior customer service or sales is a plus

•

Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required

•

Ability to stand for long periods of time

•

Ability to lift up to 50 Lbs frequently

•

Ability to multitask in a busy environment

•

This position is in a workshop environment. There can be exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures, as well as chemical and exhaust fumes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
